ROOFTECH brings a unique understanding of wind and wind damage to roofs. Our key personnel are wind experts and work closely with our President and CEO, Stephen L. Patterson. Mr. Patterson has published four editions of Wind Uplift Pressures on Low-Slope Roofs (RCI-IIBEC, Patterson and Mehta) and the fifth edition is scheduled for publication in 2023. He has published peer-reviewed papers on wind including Design of Non-Ballasted Low-Slope Roof Assemblies for Wind Resistance (RCI 2014), Combination of Wind Load and Rain Load (RCI 2012), and Understanding Low-Sloped Standing Seam Metal Roofs (RCI 2015). ROOFTECH has performed 1000s of wind damage assessments including windstorms, hurricanes, and tornados. We work with owners and insurance companies to assess the damages, establish the scope of repairs required, and, in many cases, provide design services for the replacement and/or repair of wind damaged roofs.
